Psychotherapy can help eliminate or control troubling symptoms so a person can function better and can increase well-being and healing. The goal of psychotherapy is to facilitate positive change in clients seeking better emotional and social functioning to improve their feelings of satisfaction and the overall quality of their lives. Psychotherapy helps clients live happier, healthier, and more productive lives.

Jillian is a counselling psychology practicum student committed to supporting you in building a more resilient life by exploring your strengths, patterns, and challenges. She values collaboration and works with you to identify what truly matters, ensuring alignment with your goals and values. Drawing from her own personal development, Jillian understands that engaging in therapy can feel daunting, and she strives to create a space of compassionate understanding and unwavering support.

Before transitioning to psychotherapy, Jillian spent ten years working in post-secondary education, supporting students of diverse ages, backgrounds, and abilities. Her passion for teaching and learning has shaped her trauma-informed approach, integrating Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Jillian is certified in Gottman Method Couples Therapy – Level 1 and is dedicated to providing an inclusive and affirming therapeutic environment. Living with chronic illness herself, she deeply understands the impact of invisible struggles and recognizes that not all suffering is immediately apparent. With a non-judgmental presence rooted in empathy and trust, she offers both support and practical tools for meaningful change. Jillian enjoys working with individuals navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, gender and queer identity, chronic illness, and grief.

Colleen is a Registered Psychotherapist who was born in the Niagara Region and has been fortunate enough to have been able to live and work here her entire career. She is dedicated to meeting you where you are in life. She has been using evidence-based interventions for over 25 years. Seeking support through counselling is a courageous step and she will be able to take the step with you at a pace you feel comfortable with. Creating a space for you to be your authentic self is her priority. Colleen offers a non-judgmental and transparent practice. Her years of experience in this field have awarded her the strength in a timely and thoughtful assessment of the problem followed by efficient and personalized support.
