Melanie is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who is passionate about helping individuals reconnect with themselves, navigate life’s challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change.
She has extensive experience supporting survivors of trauma and has worked with individuals impacted by sexual violence, intimate partner violence, childhood adversity, dissociation, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Melanie is particularly drawn to working with individuals who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck and are looking to better understand themselves and their experiences.
Her approach is trauma-informed, survivor-centred, neuro-affirming, gender-affirming, disability-aware, and culturally responsive. Melanie believes that healing begins with security, trust, and authentic human connection. She strives to create a welcoming space where clients feel respected, empowered, and supported as they work toward their goals.
Melanie integrates EMDR, attachment-based approaches, somatic interventions, parts-informed work, mindfulness, meditation, and emotion-focused techniques into her practice. She has developed a growing interest in the area of intimacy and sexual well-being.
With a background in counselling, social services, psychology, and early childhood education, Melanie brings both clinical knowledge and genuine compassion to her work. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients on their journey toward healing and self-discovery.
