Shealyn is a deeply empathetic and dedicated social worker who has a strong commitment to healing and empowerment. She grew up in the GTA and Hamilton area and has always been passionate about supporting her community.

Taking the first steps towards therapy can be daunting, but Shealyn is here to offer support whether you are healing from childhood trauma, discovering your authentic self, or facing personal challenges. Throughout her career, her focus has been on working with children, youth, and their families as they navigate trauma, gender and queer identity, neurodivergence, chronic illness and grief, and various mood or personality disorders.

Shealyn is a devoted trauma-focused practitioner who offers modalities including Dialectal Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, and somatic and trauma focused therapies.

Shealyn works from a holistic, client-centered approach and focuses on building a secure and welcoming therapeutic environment. She works collaboratively with her clients so that they can explore and process their thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a supportive atmosphere. Chelsie is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who grew up in the Niagara Region and is an advocate for supporting others in tending to their mental health. Chelsie has experience providing long-term and short-term counselling to adolescents, adults, and families with complex mental health issues and trauma.

Chelsie has completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and holds a Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Chelsie also has a Master’s degree in Research Psychology where her thesis research explored neurophysiological and psychological development in adolescents and adults. She integrates this knowledge to support clients’ in addressing mental health challenges.

Chelsie implements an integrative approach to counselling, combining interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. She uses a strength based and culturally sensitive lens, to support diverse clients.

Chelsie is accepting clients from all ages and is available for in-person and virtual sessions.
